An Exclusive Survey Of Indian-Americans

At India House Foundation, understanding the perspectives and priorities of Indian-Americans is crucial to shaping our initiatives and efforts. In March 2024, GQR, a leading opinion research and strategic consulting firm, conducted a comprehensive survey of 500 Indian-American respondents residing in the United States. The findings provide a revealing snapshot of their experiences and perspectives.

While a substantial majority feel fairly treated by the U.S. government, they also report significant issues with racism and discrimination. This nuanced view extends to their political priorities, with a strong focus on inflation, healthcare, and immigration, and a notable concern for protecting democracy. These insights offer valuable context as we explore the issues that matter most to the Indian-American community and reflect on how these concerns shape their political and social engagement.
